| Speed-solving
(update to come) |

I spent the night before my PhD examination trying to solve the cube. I don't know why, but I decided I had to be faster. My first objective: 1 minute. It was only the beginning. Once you've started, you can't stop, and improving is mainly a matter of wasting time on it. Speed-cubing begins at 40 seconds. ![]() My best 3x3x3 cube average (12 consecutives times, excluding the slowest and the fastest, measured with my timing pad): 14.03 seconds. Best average in a competition: 19.22 seconds. That's not speedcubing.
